  • Female teens are more likely to make suicide attempts than male teens 

 

  • Native American and White American Male Teens have the highest risk for completed suicide

 

  • 60% of teens who have a suicidal thoughts WITH a plan ATTEMPT within 1 year

  • Highest risk of suicide reattempt is 30 days post psychiatric hospitalization.

  • Second highest risk of suicide reattempt is 90 days post psychiatric hospital

  • Most Teens who make a suicide attempt PLAN the attempt within 6 hours.
